A group's experience at River Bend Farm is completely customizable, created according to your needs. Our expert educational and programming guides are available to partner with your group to create a one-of-a-kind experience or we are happy to provide the idyllic setting for your prearranged program.  

Please note River Bend Farm is available for multi-day rental only and we kindly require that all groups utilize our on-site lodging and food service to respect the valued mission of our organization.

Foraged Wreath Workshop at River Bend Farm

Join us at River Bend Farm for an evening of wreathmaking. These foraged wreaths will take you all the way through the holidays, and they will preserve beautifully. Our team will take care of all the foraging & collecting, so all you need to do is show up! We will also provide all the necessary materials, including twine, scissors, wire, and clippers. If there is something specific you would like to use, please feel free to bring what you would like.

Let’s celebrate all River Bend Farm has to offer by using both wild & cultivated plants. Some of these plants could include sensitive ferns, dried flowers, winterberry, seed pods, conifers, dried grasses, pinecones, & more.

The Art of Blending Tea

Join Emily Springer of Meeting House Farm – a MOFGA-certified organic herb farm in Scarborough, Maine – to learn about the history and art of blending tea/tisane. Using locally-sourced herbs, create your own blend to take home. Learn to taste each herb separately and then blend a perfect cup! Participants will receive a bamboo tea press, and your own blended tisane in a glass jar — included in the price of the ticket.

This workshop is co-hosted by The Ecology School & MOFGA. Part two of this workshop, Blending Medicinal Herb Tisanes, takes place on December 11.

Registration info: This event’s sliding scale registration is designed to keep the class as accessible as possible while also covering MOFGA’s and The Ecology School's costs. Recommended price for non-members is $70; recommended price for members is $60. One scholarship fund is available to community members in order to increase program accessibility, and participants in MOFGA’s Journeyperson program are welcome to register at no-cost. Blending Medicinal Herb Tisanes

In this evening workshop, participants will learn about blending teas/tisanes for medicinal purposes. Learn from Emily Springer of Meeting House Farm – a MOFGA certified organic farm in Scarborough, Maine. This class will focus on the medicinal properties of a selection of herbs and how to combine them for maximum effect. Learn about herbs that support the respiratory system, digestive system, nervous system and immune system. Participants will taste a variety of herbal tisanes, and blend their own medicinal tisane to take home. 

This class builds on the basics of tea blending, as discussed in The Art of Blending Tea on November 11. However, no pre-requisites are required in order to enroll. This workshop will start with a brief overview of the basics of the art of blending tea. 

Blending Medicinal Herb Tisanes is co-hosted by The Ecology School & MOFGA.

Discover where food comes from at River Bend Farm! Campers connect with nature through planting, tending and harvesting from our produce and flower gardens. They'll cook over campfires, explore food journeys from the farm to table, and enjoy a make-your-own pizza night. At the end of the week, campers will take home seeds to continue to grow their skills. Campers will also enjoy classic camp activities like canoeing, arts and crafts, forest exploration, and evening campfire gatherings.
