Alumni

Our Educator alumni is a community who are bonded by the shared experience of teaching at The Ecology School. More affectionately known as FOAM (Fantastic Order of Alumni Masters), this group of 360+ individuals come from all over the world to spend a semester (or two, or three, or four…) bringing energy, fun, and laughter to not only our program participants, but also to each other. Since 1999, passionate nature lovers, environmental stewards, and experiential education seekers from a variety of backgrounds sojourn to Maine, finding the joy empowering others to make connections with nature and to create an experience unlike any other at The Ecology School.

The Ecology School is enormously proud of our teaching staff and deeply grateful for the time, energy, enthusiasm, and heart they contribute to The Ecology School. The FOAM Network was created to help support Educators after leaving The Ecology School as well as create an easy avenue for Educator alumni to stay connected. FOAM is a vibrant community of former and current educators and staff who share curriculum ideas, jobs, friendships, and even marriages and babies! The Ecology School holds a once early FOAM Summit where FOAMers are invited back to campus to reconnect, network with other FOAMers, and develop professionally.
