FOAMer in the News: Gabby Queenan, Getting Real About Boston’s Dirty Water
Gabby is the current Policy Director at the Massachusetts River Alliance (Cambridge, Massachusetts) an organization that works to strengthen statewide river policies in four areas: water quality, stream flow, wildlife habitat, and investment in green infrastructure. As reported by WBUR, her group is pushing for notifications to be sent to the public, not just government entities as currently mandated by Clean Water Act standards. “This is so clear, it’s so obvious,” Queenan says. “There’s sewage going into the water and the public doesn’t know about it.
