This September, join The Ecology School, North Spore Mushroom, and MOFGA for Mycology Outside, a weekend of workshops all about mushrooms! Guests will spend the weekend at River Bend Farm, home of The Ecology School, located in Saco, Maine. Workshops include: guided foraging walks, chef-led cooking classes, at-home cultivation techniques, and more, digging deeper into the world of fungus with other mushroom enthusiasts. On Saturday evening, special guest speaker Dr. Peter Knight, ND, will present ”Mushroom as Medicine.” In addition to skills and community gained, you will leave Mycology Outside with one mushroom log to continue cultivation at home. 

River Bend Farm is a historic 105-acre agroecology farm located on a scenic bend in the Saco River. In addition to staying in Maine’s most sustainably built Dormitory, guests can enjoy over 3.5 miles of forested trails and river activities like canoeing and kayaking. 

Mycology Outside will run Saturday, September 11 through September 12, 2021. The cost is $300 per adult (18+). There is an option to begin your weekend at River Bend Farm on Friday, September 10 for an additional $100 fee.
